Biggest Dicks of The Decade: 2000-2009

One thing I think everyone can agree on is the fact that this past decade has had more than its fair share of dicks. While almost everyone can agree on the dickishness of certain slimy characters out there, certain others inexplicably have their passionate defenders.

To my mind, however, over the past ten years quintessential dickishness has been defined by a select few.

So here it is, my list of the Biggest Dicks of The Decade:

A Delusional Dictatorial Demagogue: The Mugabe (and Mbeki) Rant

"He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy"
     -  Brian's Mom to the masses in "Monty Python's Life of Brian"

Like all petty dictators and megalomaniacs throughout history, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe seems to see himself as the saviour of his country, but, far from being Zimbabwe's Messiah, the man has now clearly become the destroyer of this once proud and prosperous nation. Self-delusion and pompous self-importance simply don't get much better than with this buffoon.

Touching The Untouchables #8: Mandela

Ok, I know what you're thinking: "This guy isn't really going to rant about Mandela, at least not THE Nelson Mandela. The same Nelson Mandela who spent 27 years in prison and inspired his country and the world in the fight against apartheid. There's just no way he has the nerve or the audacity to attack one of the greatest men of the past century. One of the greatest, most dignified, most inspiring people in world history". Well, maybe I do, maybe I don't.

The What's Not To Like Rant (Things Are Lookin' Up)

Are you one of those people who after reading one too many of my rants feels like saying: "Hey, don't be so bloody pessimistic, the world may seem to be a giant house of horrors at times, but really it's not all that bad"? Well, you may be surprised to hear that I totally agree with you. So many countries have indeed been moving forward and progressing in so many different ways recently. Things are looking up the world over. Let's count the ways.
